What it is and How it Works
Testosterone Cypionate (Test C) is a long-acting ester of Testosterone, very similar to Testosterone Enanthate. Once injected, it gradually releases Testosterone into circulation, maintaining elevated hormone levels for several days. This makes it one of the most popular options for TRT and bodybuilding cycles.
Testosterone promotes protein synthesis, nitrogen retention, and increased red blood cell production. The result is improved muscle growth, strength, recovery, and overall physical performance. It also converts into estradiol and DHT, which are critical for sexual health, mood stability, and general well-being.
Potential side effects include water retention, acne, oily skin, accelerated hair loss in those genetically predisposed, gynecomastia due to estrogen conversion, and cardiovascular strain from raised hematocrit or cholesterol imbalance.
How is it used?
Testosterone Cypionate has a slightly longer half-life than Testosterone Enanthate, though in practice the difference is minimal. Most users consider the two interchangeable. Its long action allows for less frequent injections compared to shorter esters such as Testosterone Propionate.
Typical injection frequency is every 3 to 5 days to maintain stable levels. Some users inject only once per week, but this can lead to fluctuations in Testosterone and estradiol levels. Full saturation generally occurs after 4 to 5 weeks of consistent use.
Dose
This product is dosed at 250mg/ml × 10ml. It is commonly used for TRT at 100 to 200mg per week, and in performance cycles at 250 to 500mg per week.
